The 3,150 m long Lefortovo Tunnel in Russia is the longest 'in-city' tunnel in all of Europe. There is a river running over it and water leaks at some points. When the temperature reaches minus 38 degrees like it did last winter, the road freezes and the result is the attached video taken with the tunnel camera.

"It’s summertime here in Tokyo, and since we’re in the middle of the Obon holiday week a lot of Tokyoites have left town for the countryside, leaving a strangely empty city behind. Those who stick around or come in from the countryside pack just about every tourist spot to the gills. We went to the Tokyo Summerland today to catch some sun, and could barely move! Believe it or not, the picture below is of a pool…"

Yes, GoogleBot has privileges and it is not enough to simply change the User-Agent string to Googlebot. Here are the five factors that are important:

1. Beat IP Delivery: Use Google Translate as a Proxy, translating from spanish->english even though the site is already in English. (http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en)

2. Beat User-Agent Cloaking: Use the FirefoxUser-Agent Switcher to spoof as GoogleBot (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59/)

Rural Washington man thinks he’s killed the reptile and is then bitten by it

PROSSER, Wash. - Turns out, even beheaded rattlesnakes can be dangerous.

That’s what 53-year-old Danny Anderson learned as he was feeding his horses Monday night, when a 5-foot rattler slithered onto his central Washington property, about 50 miles southeast of Yakima.

Anderson and his 27-year-old son, Benjamin, pinned the snake with an irrigation pipe and cut off its head with a shovel. A few more...

BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) — Thai police officers who break rules will be forced to wear hot pink armbands featuring "Hello Kitty," the Japanese icon of cute, as a mark of shame, a senior officer said Monday.

Police officers caught littering, parking in a prohibited area, or arriving late — among other misdemeanors — will be forced to stay in the division office and wear the armband all day, said Police Col. Pongpat Chayaphan. The officers won't wear the armband in public.

How can a man with no formal robotic education create funny and awesome robots out of electronic parts he finds in the junk heap? Paul Merton recorded a great segment with Mr Woo, a rural Chinese farmer who taught himself to build fun kinetic robots. Woo's totally untrained, but his little electric bots are extremely sophisticated and often hilarious.
